What our students, faculty and staff have to say regarding the manner in which MCI has effectively leveraged technology to provide innovative instructional practices, both inside and outside of the classroom:

"Although the new Hybrid learning system is a far cry from what the students and teachers at MCI are used to, it is working well so far for both factions in my opinion. Communication and instruction between students and teachers is clear, and there is a mutual understanding of the expectations set in place with the adoption of Hybrid Learning. Although it’s not the most favorable system, it’s working well so far and it still gives students a school-like atmosphere that we’re all accustomed to.”  Asa Cianchette, class of 2021

"Hybrid learning has been a challenge to negotiate in many ways, but I can't remember a time in my 20+ year career that something challenging didn't result in some of the greatest professional development opportunities. I've learned not only how to engage students in a new way but also have had the chance to rethink my curriculum and my teaching practices. I think it has made me a better teacher, a better listener, and a more nimble creative and critical thinker." Eveline Bailey,  Academic Dean

"Hybrid/Remote learning has changed the way we deliver education. Teachers, students, parents and staff have had to think outside the box of traditional education. It certainly isn't one setup that fits all [classes] right now, but together we discovered which apps, cameras, microphones/speakers were going to work best for each classroom/teacher/curriculum. We have used our on campus technology to also facilitate large school meetings, conduct small class size instruction; students in-person and remote at the same time, and live stream events that parents/guardians aren’t able to attend in person. While it has been a challenging time for each of us involved, it is encouraging seeing everyone working together, sharing ideas on what works, and collaborating on new ways and ideas. " Jennifer Watson, IT Director
